Czech Republic - Administrative hell for businessmen
11. october 2011
According to a recent analysis of the Doing Business 2011 is the Czech Republic hell for businesmen, at least in terms of administrative work in processing and tax compliance. According to the World Bank takes tax transfer in the Czech Republic up to 557 hours, this is three and a half months of working time per employee. According to Josef Jaros from the company APOGEO Group is the reason why more and more businessmen outsource taxes and accounting services.
In long term among other countries has Czech Republic the most complicated system of tax administration. According to World Bank survey, we even have the fifth most complicated transfer taxes in Europe. "The administrative work on businessmen are related to the calculation and payment of taxes in the Czech Republic which often discourage the company development, if the business or investments are not already discouraged.
For this reason many businessmen in the Czech Republic choose only as a necessity, not as their natural choice. Businessmen, home residents as well as foreign residents need an experienced tax advisors and accountants who can combine the requirements of the state and development needs of companies. "says Josef Jaros, Managing Partner of APOGEO, which provides services in management and tax administration. According to APOGEO the businessmen are mostly interested in accounting, tax advice, including in particular the processing of tax returns and tax audit. "In regards to difficulty of the tax system we register each year, an increase of interest not only of the external tax and accounting services, but also to prepare the audit and international structuring," says Josef Jaros.
In relation with the paid taxes, employees, companies and businessmen expect, what changes will bring the prepared reform of direct taxes. Currently known facts suggest that the introduction of the new laws should amend particular, self-employed and the companies mainly on size. We also may expect that the planned benefits to self employed will motivate employees to move from employment to self employed. One of the proclaimed reasons for reform is also often repeated simplification selection of particular taxes. For this purpose officials of the Ministry of Finance invented the concept of a single collection site (abb. JIM). At this point, the tax, social and health insurance and customs should transfer all together.
Regardless to decades of political promises, the companies are still waiting on a similar tool for years. The project of the Ministry of Finance implementation is still discouraged by political scramble for tax rates and dispensation.
